As you all may have noticed, this past Saturday was an out of the ordinary cold day - with temperatures dropping to a mere 6ยบ F at it's lowest.
That, of course, didn't stop the show from happening - even though it was being held outside. At the Lincoln Center Plaza, to be more specific. They did, however, give out some hot cocoa in personalized Moncler cups for all the guests. I really wanted to take some original pictures of the show - but the low temperature prevented me from doing so; so I'm just going to borrow some from the New York Times to show you my favorite looks.
Here are some of the backstage pictures I was able to take myself since we were inside and warm. As some sort of "show opening" there was a bunch of dancers walking around the venue, all of them wearing head to toe blue Moncler garments. I called them the Cookie Monsters, but they referred to themselves as Smurfs.
Here they are getting ready for the big show |
By the end of the presentation, my feet were freezing cold and my toes felt as if they were about to break and separate from my body, so I ran to the nearest subway as far as I could in the hopes of getting back home to my cozy bed in time - but not before snapping a picture of what the trash cans looked like after all the hot cocoa that had been drunk at the show!
Thanks for catching up with me and talk to you soon.
Stay warm!!!!!

That is great you were able to attend this show! I saw all the pictures and couldn't help but think about how cold it must of been outside! Love the picture of the trash can haha
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, what a cool experience! I saw a lot about this show all over social media and the web - so it is pretty cool that you got to volunteer. And I also think its pretty awesome how you survived the cold - I barely even made it outside that day!! I love the title of the post and the picture that you snapped of the Hot Cocoa cups.
ReplyDeleteI love the title of this blog post and I love the originality of the content! It's great that they gave hot cocoa because it was frigid out. Love the pictures especially the garbage with all the empty cups. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletelove this! Those little cookie monsters look hilarious! I'm sure none of the models minded they were outside since they're all bundled. This is honestly such a great way to sell their product! Have their show in the cold outside in the middle of winter so everyone freezes and wants to buy their coats. Genius!!! haha Glad you had hot coco!
